Andrew faces another humiliating blow as he is forced to honour Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who are currently keeping a low profile as after their parents Andrew and Sarah Ferguson faced immense humiliation facing the consequences of their own actions.
Buckingham Palace had confirmed the departure of Andrew from the royal family in statement which stripped the “style” of HRH, his titles as Duke and Prince, along with two key honours – Knight of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
King Charles shamed brother will now be referred as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor but his two daughters retain the title of ‘Princess’ even if their father can no longer has his. Even though there is still scrutiny surrounding the princesses, they have received a bump in their royal protocol.
Andrew will now have to ‘bow’ to his own daughters as part of the royal protocol, given that they have a higher rank in the royal family, according to royal biographer Robert Hardman.
In a podcast interview with host Jo Elvin, Hardman confirmed that since Andrew is now a commoner, he “probably will” have to bow to his own daughters. He noted that he won’t do it happily and is possibly dreading his own circumstances.
Royal biographer Andrew Lownie published an extensive book, Entitled, about the fall of Andrew and Fergie in which he described the arrogance of the former Duke of York. He would ask his staff to walk back in the room again and greet him properly with his titles if they made a mistake.
A latest report by Rob Shuter for ShuterScoop revealed that Andrew, despite his fall from grace, is still forcing his staff to call him by his titles citing a household insider.
“Nothing has changed inside Royal Lodge,” the source said. “The butler still says Your Royal Highness, and the staff still bow. Andrew’s made it clear – palace rules don’t apply inside his walls. He insists it’s his birthright—not something the King can erase.”
